What We Believe

God is real. Jesus is King. We exist to glorify God.

Statement of Faith

God

We believe in one and only one God. The one God exists in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The three persons are identical in nature, in power and in glory.

God the Father

God the Father created and now reigns over His universe. He cares for His creatures and directs human history according to His purposes. He is all-powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is the Father of those who become His children through faith in Jesus Christ.

God the Son

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who took on human form without ceasing to be God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. He died on the cross in payment for man’s sin. Our redemption is made sure to us by His literal physical resurrection from the dead. The Lord Jesus Christ is now in heaven, exalted at the right hand of God, where He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate.

God the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He inspired holy men to write the Scriptures. He enables men to understand God’s truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin and of righteousness, and makes them aware of judgment. He calls men to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. At regeneration He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God. He seals the believer until the day of final redemption. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service. The Holy Spirit is the guarantee that we will receive our inheritance in heaven.

The Scriptures

The Holy Bible was divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is the focus of divine revelation.

Salvation

Salvation is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
