Missions

We are so pleased that you’ve taken a moment to invest in what God is doing at Oak Grove Church, the community of Evansville and in the lives of those overseas in the foreign mission field.

About

“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:4-5 ,1 Corinthians 12:12-27

As members of the body of Christ we all serve different roles and bring to the body our own special gifts. This is true of all those presently serving on the Missions Leadership Team. Each of us brings to it a special dynamic of where God currently has us in life; whether it is mom, teacher, retiree, businessperson, tradesperson or student.

What We Do

Mission Statement: We will partner with God to draw unbelievers into a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ, locally and internationally.

The team continues to strengthen existing partnerships with missionaries and care receivers. Each team member takes ownership for faithfully praying for a specific ministry partner or care receiver. We strive to grow a missional mindset within OGC, by promoting our Missions & Outreach initiatives and by providing opportunities for members to participate in those initiatives or short-term mission opportunities. We also provide administrative leadership and support for missionary nurturing, training, preparation and raising-up Oak Grove missionaries.

We offer an opportunity for our congregation members to participate in such a trip once every 2-3 years.
